PAFA

Parents and Friends Association

Welcome to the PAFA section!

P.A.F.A (Parents and Friends Association) is an important part of our school. PAFA is a registered charity that fundraises to provide “extras” for the School that are not provided for within the Education budget.

We aim to organise a number of events that involve the children and their parents throughout the School year

We are always open to new ideas and appreciate extra help and enthusiasm from families and friends, but would welcome new members who are willing to commit to our fundraising efforts.

Please talk to Mr Hawkins for information or view the latest newsletter for our most recent news.

In addition, we are always on hand to provide refreshments at School events and organise raffles and cake sales throughout the School Year.

Please come along to our PAFA meetings, your support will be valued very much. Feel free to contact a PAFA member at halsteadpafa@hotmail.co.uk.

Upcoming Event – School Disco, Leavers Party 19th July 3.30-5.00pm
Dear Parents Carers,
We are so sorry to have to of canceled the PAFA Disco in the Hall and Music room on Monday afternoon for KS1 & KS2, we were so close to making it happen! What will do is run a Zoom Disco instead, as we have run previously. This will take place at the same time – 3.30-5.00pm. Dress to impress!!!
What we need now is some great music…and this is where you come in. Can you supply the office, by Friday lunchtime, with a few requests for great ‘dancey’ songs with your name and year, and we will do our very best to play them. No charges this time, PAFA will cover all the costs.
Zoom link to be sent out via email to all pupils.

PAFA has several events planned from September onwards, when we hope to be able to run a series of great events – if you think you might be able to help on one or many of these, please let us know.

Older Events.

Firstly, we have a PAFA Easter Egg Hunt which is using some innovative tech to enable everyone to stay at home but still hunt for Easter-related places around the World.  It is designed for the whole family to take part as you answer questions to reveal the clues as you hunt.  There is no charge to enter and winning entries will get an Easter Egg (limited to 1 per pupil) – donated by PAFA.

There will, for the first time, be a Family Zoom Quiz on Saturday 24th April at 3.30 pm which will have 5 rounds covering general knowledge, music and Disney to name a few. It’s £5 per team – yes, it is a whole family affair -and there will be prizes!  So start getting your team together and see if you can be crowned the HCPS quiz champions.  You will also be able to ‘play a joker’ on one round for double points – what will your team name be?
