Admission Arrangements
We currently follow Kent County Council’s admission arrangements and criteria to admit children to the school. Further details can be found in our Admissions Policy.
Joining us in Reception in September
There is one admission date in September for all children who reach the age of 5 during the course of the academic year. We currently admit up to 25 children in an academic year.
If there are more applications for places than spaces available children are admitted to the school taking account of the following, in priority order:
- Children in Local Authority Care or Previously in Local Authority Care
- Current Family Association (i.e. an older brother or sister in the school at the time of your child joining us)
- Health and Special Access Reasons ( for your child or one or more of their parents)
- Nearness of children’s homes to the school
For full information on how to apply for places please go to www.kent.gov.uk and look at the school places section.
We hold some ‘Open Afternoons’ during the year for prospective parents and families. You will get a chance to meet the Headteacher, find out about our school and will be shown around the school. Please contact the school office to find out about our next planned open events.
It is helpful in our forward planning if parents contact us in the year before your child is due to start school.
Joining us during a school year (In Year Admission)
If you move into the area and we have places we can offer your child a place to join on an agreed date. If the year group is full you can ask to be put on our waiting list. In the first instance, please contact the school office for more information and the opportunity to arrange a visit to our school.
Full details of in year admissions are included in the following document:
