Now the school’s track round the field has been completed, it is time to make great use of it
We are embarking on the challenge. The aim of ‘The Daily Mile Destinations Challenge’ is to work together to complete 100 days of The Daily Mile. The whole school, including Buds, in their own classes, will compete to reach all of the destinations and fill their classroom passport. When the children reach the next destination, not only do they get a sticker for their passport but a class certificate and also a fact sheet which helps them learn all about the city that they have reached.
Along the way we are learning how physical activity benefits us so much: bone health, fitness and heart health, self-esteem and happiness. Exercise can also help to reduce anxiety and increase confidence, improves focus, concentration and behaviour. It can also help with memory function and improves maths problem-solving.
