This week we were treated to a rare event in the area. The Nativity 2020. This version entitled ‘Shine Star Shine’ was performed by Classes Buds and Saplings as they danced and sung their way through an action-packed 25-minute performance.
Sadly this year, there was no live audience. However, the virtual audience who connected via Zoom were able to enjoy the performance and gave great applause and messages at the end of both Monday and Tuesday’s performances.
The huge effort involved in staging this mini production is down to the dedication of staff who were determined to ‘make it happen’ and overcome some technical challenges to achieve success.
Deputy Head, Mrs Saheed said, “It was a challenge but a fun one! The key stage one team all worked hard to provide a fantastic experience for the children. We are really proud of how well they did. It was great to see them enjoying themselves and experience a bit of the real Christmas in school.”
The end result was a safe and COVID secure way of allowing parents, grandparents and carers a way to start Christmas with a shining smile.
After the Nativity, Mr. Hawkins and the Vice-Chair of Governors were interviewed about the event. Listen here..
